Ivan - The World's Tallest Dwarf by MiloNeuman Ivan - The World's Tallest Dwarf by MiloNeuman
Just in case anyone was wondering where my new Avatar came from. I've been working on this in small chunks for... about a month or so now. I finally got up the motivation to put the finishing touches on and get the thing posted.

I tend to always have one character out of all my creations who I draw obsessively more than any of my other characters. It was Roxanne [link] from my webcomic [link] for a while. Now it's this guy.

Coincidentally, that portrait of Roxanne was also the last time I tried digitally painting. Funny how that works.

Been meaning to finally get around to commenting on this! This looks fantastic; the coloring is beautiful, and I love the little additions of texture or lack thereof (like the scarf and the extremely shiny hatband), they really add dimension that plain ol' shading can't quite do. And of course I will forever love Ivan's amazing smile, which is the best smile ever and just automatically makes you feel more cheerful yourself when you look at it. An excellent choice for your new avatar, I say! ^^

I really like the textured look of his scarf and hair. And his hat ribbon looks so silky/ribbony with the way it's shining!

the texture on the hat took really hard? Wow, grammatical failure. I meant either "was really hard to" or "took a really long time to". My apologies.

It's ok, we're all allowed some grammatical screw-ups now and again.

Thank you kindly! Yeah, the texture on the hat took really hard to get looking how I wanted. It still looks a bit sloppy, but I was tired of fighting with it. :D
